Massage as an Adjunct to Chiropractic Care
So we get a lot of questions in the office here about massage and if a massage is good, bad—can it help? And massage can be great. It’s a great adjunct to chiropractic care.
The only downfall to having a massage, just relying on that alone, is that usually it’s only going so far to fix a problem, maybe a muscle problem. A lot of times, most of the time, there’s an underlying spinal issue where that subluxation lies, and it’s decreasing the function of the biomechanics of your spine and how your body moves.
Getting to the Root Cause of the Problem
So massage is a good benefit. It can [unclear] a lot of that fibrotic tissue, get some good blood flow into the muscle, and you can feel a little bit better.
A lot of times, it doesn’t last, and you feel like you have to keep getting those muscle rubs and stretching and lengthening that tissue, which is all great. But if we’re not getting into the root cause of the problem and removing those subluxations, improving the biomechanics and ultimately that nerve system communication in your body, you’ll never really get to the root cause and fix the problem completely.
Chiropractic and Massage Work Together
So, hope that helped. They go great together, chiropractic and massage, and they work really great together. So thank you guys. Have a great day.
